Great mower!
the last mower I got, a Grass Hog, I had to put it almost completely together myself...the wheels, the blade, the handle...this mower...I literally just opened the box, took it out, straightened the handle, tightened it (by hand no tools needed), and started mowing!!! Wow!! It cuts great, I ALWAYS mulch my grass, I do not collect it, and it works great! Tip for other "natural" lawn owners out there, if you mulch your lawn with it's own clippings, not only are you feeding it, but you are helping it to be more drought resistant!! It has worked for me for years, and my lawn is the thickest, healthiest looking lawn in the neighborhood!! Plus, I never need to fertilize...the clippings do that for me! It's a great mower...I hope it lasts a long time!

Not Disappointed
This replaced the old B&D side discharge, corded mower that served me well for 7 years (the hole in plastic deck that holds the bag support rod gave out). I was going to get another B&D corded mower but the reviews pushed me to this mower and I'm not disappointed. Plenty of power, cuts great, easy to handle. It's a bit louder than the B&D, but still quieter than gas. Overall I'm very pleased with the mower

Love my new Lawnmower
I was looking for something easy to handle but durable. I was not disappointed. very satisfied!
I purchased a john deere rider about twenty years ago this mower cuts just as well or better. I decided I needed the workout, at 64 needed something that handled easily. very pleased. Good buy for the money.

It takes about 1.5 hrs to mow my lawn. This mower costs about 30 cents compared to about $4 for my gas push mower (not self prop.) Even in heavier grass that causes the blade to slow down, still get a fine mulch. If I need to stop the mower for any reason, it is so much easier to restart than my gas version, literally a couple of seconds. It takes a little while to get used to the cord, but a couple of adjustments to my routine and its not a big deal.

Worth the money!
I just purchased this mower and am pleased with its performance. It shipped straight to my home within a matter of days and assembly was a quick raising and tightening of the handles. One push of the button and it purred to life. My lawn was up to my knees so I was skeptical this mower would be able to cut through it. Not only did it mow it right down, it did it much more easily than my former gas powered mower and didn't bog down once. It's light weight made it easy for me to push up inclines. I've only used this once (today) and if it continues to perform this way, it's definitely worth the investment.

Everything I wanted in a mower and more
I have a large yard. People said I needed a riding mower. I ordered the greenworks mower because it fit my budget and my needs. I thought I would mow small portions on different days. I cut lawn for first time with my new greenworks and it was so easy to use, I found I finished the whole yard in one session. I am a 69 year old female and this mower is perfect for me. Neighbors so impressed with the even cut of my yard, they asked for the yard service I use!

Sharp little mower fits the bill
I've used the mower twice so far and love the cutting job. It handled high grass without complaint. There are disappointing early signs of wear. The bag is fraying where it rubbed against the sidewalk on a handful of passes and the foam handle covers (very comfy) ripped on one end. One additional, albeit minor, frustration is that the nifty cord keeper is too small for the 14 gauge/100' extension cord I needed, so I can't use it, but that shouldn't be a problem if you use a 16 gauge/50' extension cord. Despite these glitches, I've already recommended the mower to a neighbor.

Overall, the mower is very good
Having only used it for a few weeks, so far I think it is a pretty good mower. I have only ever used electric mowers so have bought and gone through several over the years. My previous electric mower just suddenly died this spring after about 10 years. I shopped around and focused in on this one as it was more powerful then my previous mower (13 Amp vs. 12) and a 21" cut vs. 19". And by contrast with my previous mower, which had a moulded plastic deck and housing which was thick, the metal base this mower actually has a smaller footprint then my previous mower, allowing cutting closer to trees and other things. So so far the mower has worked well.

On the negative side, I think the cord management systems is very weak. It is essentially just the plug hanging off the mower. I know they suggest clipping the cord in that rubber thing, but I found that to be almost useless. So I have just stopped using that piece altogether and manage the cord the way I always have over 35+ years. (usually over my shoulder) Being an experienced electric mower user I've gotten fairly good at dealing with the cord, but other mowers have got better systems then this model. Another issues is that because of the way the deck is designed, grass clippings and dirt gets into hard to clean out places. That was the only advantage of my previous mowers plastic deck in that it had less cavities and places for grass clippings to build up.

Another issue is the adjustable grass height. I started out with it right in the middle of the ranges of positions. I found that to be too low and raised it up. I'm now at the highest possible setting and while it is OK, there are situations when I would have liked it to go even higher (Like when mowing in the fall over lots of leaves) So I would recommend that the mower height adjustment be modified to allow for higher cut height option.

WOW...I'm impressed.
I ordered this on Wednesday, it said free shipping 3-5 days...I JUST got it and it's FRIDAY! Wow...and all I had to do, literally, is take it out of the box, straighten and tighten the handle, and I started to mow my lawn!! My last mower was a Grasshog, and I had to put the wheels on, the blade, the handle, everything...this one, no assembly!! It cuts great, I'm happy with it. My GrassHog lasted about 10 years before it died...we will see how this one wears. So far, I'm REALLY happy with it!

I lost my manual. How do I put this mower together?
Maggy A on May 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: it is mostly done for you. The upper handle merely has to be raised up, take the bolts out to connect both parts of the handle frame and tighten. You'll be happy with the results...the mower is quieter than the gas ones and so light you can cut with one hand. Always be conscientious to keep the cord clear though, they cut pretty easily

Do I need a special electrical cord and how much would it cost
Paul on Sep 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: In order to prevent electric shock, use this mower only with a CSA/CUL listed extension cord
that is approved for outdoor use, such as Type SW–A, SOW–A, STW–A, STOW–A, SJW–A,

Extension Cord: Verify that the extension cord is in good condition, is heavy enough to carry
the current that your mower will draw, and is polarized (one blade of the plug is wider than the
other). A 50' (15 m) extension cord should be of 16 AWG, a 100' (30 m) extension cord should
be 14 AWG, and a 150' (45 m) extension cord should be 12 AWG. Undersized cords cause a
drop in the line voltage, which leads to a loss of power and overheating
Have had mower for for two years now, mower started to slow down then stopped within five minutes. Cord, outlet and undercarriage have all been checked. Any advice before returning to store?

BEST ANSWER: CPO is an internet retailer, if you purchased the mower from another retailer you will need to contact them for assistance. Or, you can reach Greenworks directly at 888-909-6757
